Our Approach
Community Access & Support (NDIS)
Get involved. Go further. Feel connected.
Getting out and about shouldn’t be a barrier. With the right support, people with disability can access their community with confidence and ease. At United For Care, our NDIS Community Access and Support services help you stay connected, active, and included—wherever life takes you.
What is Community Access support under the NDIS?
Community Access is part of the Core Supports – Assistance with Social and Community Participation category. It includes one-on-one or small group support for:
- Going to the shops, library, or local markets
- Visiting friends, family, or cultural events
- Attending classes, church, or group activities
- Volunteering or joining local organisations
- Getting to medical or professional appointments
- Participating in leisure, art, music, or sport
Whether it’s a planned event or a regular outing, we support you to get there—and back—safely and confidently.
How it works
You choose what you want to do and when. Our team matches you with a support worker who fits your personality and goals, providing help with transport, social interaction, and task support where needed.
Why community access is essential
Being part of your community increases confidence, reduces isolation, and builds a sense of purpose. Community engagement has a proven positive effect on mental health, independence, and overall wellbeing.
Who is this for?
- NDIS participants of all ages
- Participants who are building confidence outside the home
- People living at home or in Supported Independent Living (SIL) working on community goals
Whether it’s a short trip to the local shops or a big community event, we’ll help you get there with the right support, at the right time. Because life happens outside—and you deserve to be part of it.
