Household Task Services (NDIS)

A clean home, a clearer mind

Daily chores can quickly become overwhelming—especially for people with disability. That’s where Household Task Services under the NDIS come in. At United For Care, we provide practical, respectful support to help keep your living space clean, safe, and manageable—so you can focus on what matters most.

What are household tasks under the NDIS?
Household task services help participants with day-to-day domestic duties that they can’t complete independently due to their disability. This falls under the Core Supports category: Assistance with Daily Life.

Services include:

  • Cleaning (vacuuming, mopping, wiping surfaces)
  • Laundry (washing, drying, folding)
  • Dishwashing and tidying
  • Changing bed linen
  • Basic gardening and outdoor upkeep
  • Rubbish removal
  • Organising clutter and maintaining a safe space

Whether you live in your own home, rental property, or Supported Independent Living (SIL) arrangement, our support workers help you maintain a comfortable, hygienic home.

Who is it for?
Household task supports are for NDIS participants whose disability impacts their ability to manage domestic tasks safely or effectively. This may include people with:

  • Physical disabilities
  • Psychosocial disabilities
  • Neurological or cognitive conditions
  • Chronic fatigue or chronic pain
  • Vision or mobility impairments

Flexible and respectful service
We tailor each service based on your needs and preferences. You decide how your home is maintained, and we help make it happen. We also work alongside your carers or family to ensure a consistent routine.

Why it matters
A tidy, clean home can:

  • Improve mental health and reduce stress
  • Lower the risk of falls or accidents
  • Make it easier to engage in daily activities
  • Support other NDIS goals, like independent living

Need help with household tasks? We’ve got your back. Our team is here to take the pressure off—one clean bench, folded sheet, and vacuumed rug at a time.

Beacon of hope for our family when my sister suffered a stroke that left her non-verbal and with a permanent physical disability. Their dedicated and compassionate team provided quality care and emotional support, bringing hope and normalcy back into our lives.
