Our Approach
Mental Health Support (NDIS)
Support that understands your journey
Living with a psychosocial disability can be isolating. At United For Care, our NDIS Mental Health Support services are here to walk alongside you—to help you feel supported, connected, and in control of your life again.
What is Psychosocial Disability?
A psychosocial disability arises from a mental health condition that affects a person’s ability to function day-to-day. This may include schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, PTSD, or major depression. The NDIS funds specific supports to help people with psychosocial disability live with greater independence.
Supports we offer include:
- Help with daily living and personal routines
- Managing appointments and medication
- Support with community participation and social inclusion
- Building emotional regulation and coping skills
- Assistance with housing and budgeting
- Support with employment or education goals
- Psychosocial Recovery Coaching
These supports can be funded under Capacity Building, Core Supports, or as part of a specialised Recovery Coach NDIS plan item.
Our approach: trauma-informed and person-centred
Mental health isn’t one-size-fits-all. Our team listens without judgement, supports without pressure, and works at your pace. We provide safe, consistent relationships with trained support workers who understand trauma, mood disorders, and behavioural fluctuations.
Psychosocial Recovery Coaches
If eligible, you can also work with one of our NDIS Recovery Coaches, who will:
- Help you build and maintain a recovery plan
- Connect you to community mental health services
- Coordinate your NDIS supports
- Empower you to work towards personal goals
