So, what is the NDIS?
The NDIS is an initiative from the Australian Government that provides funding for individuals living with a disability that will impact how they complete daily activities either temporarily or for the rest of their lives.
The NDIA (National Disability Insurance Agency) are the body that make the decision about who is eligible to become an NDIS participant and how much funding they will receive.
It is not a welfare program but an Insurance Scheme to ensure that people with disabilities can have peace and security in life. Being able to live out their hopes and dreams is important for everyone and NDIS funding allows for a better quality of life for each participant.
